We re-uploaded some of our apps to the android market: Better Keyboard 7 & 8 , Better Alarm Clock and Better Cut are now back. Open Home will be made available as soon as we can get to it. Thank your for all your patience and understandings.
To those who emailed us or voiced your opinions to google, we are sincerely grateful for your help and supports. Since our account was terminated, we tried our best to do the right things: we contacted google, we patiently waited, we contacted google again and again, and we patiently waited and waited. It has now been almost 1 week, we had received nothing meaningful other than a couple of canned responses that did not give any explanation nor any help. Needless to say, we are extremely disappointed about how google treat its developers. While we honestly believe google has the best intention to maintain a healthy android market by pulling copyright infringing apps and by suspending questionable developer accounts, we think google’s execution is deeply flawed.
Our voice and many of our users’ voices were not able to get through to google, but life must continue. For us, developing for android is our full time job. We hope we can all look past this incident and repair the damages in all possible ways we can. We will continue to support everyone of our users, hopefully you will continue to support us. If you are one of our users and have any concerns, please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to help you out.

Glad to have Better Cut back … sad to say I’ve heard the same with Google and its treatment of developers when they “boot them”.
Anyway, has there been any word on how those of us who paid for the apps redownload them? I’m sure we’re not going to be required to purchase them again as we’ve already paid for them.
Any resolution to this?

Based on my experience today, if you downloaded Better Keyboard 8 prior to the account suspension and then purchased an unlock key today, the app you installed previously won’t be recognized by the new unlock key. To solve this, you will need to uninstall the app and then download and reinstall a new copy. This issue likely applies to the other apps offered by Better Android as well.
To Better Android: Based on what I just explained, I assume that if I were to download Better Keyboard 8 from the Market after your original developers account has been unsuspended, the unlock key I just purchased won’t be recognized. Hopefully, Google can merge your accounts after their erroneous suspension has been corrected, so that all purchased keys will continue to work.

I sent an email through after reading your blog post, but they passed the buck and blamed you guys. I was pretty annoyed they weren’t interesting in providing any help or information, or a solution to how we could get our paid apps back. Makes you wonder what they are for really. Glad to see you back up and running

It’s been two days since I wrote the developers. I even forwarded my receipt and no unlock key still! Has anyone been actually helped?! Or is everyone just re- purchasing the keyboard unlock key? It seems to me these ” distraught victims of Google” are making out like bandits!

i just dowloaded it yesterday and the suspended it before i could purchase the key…! what do i do..im so upset!!!!!
